We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful hotel and spa. The public space and rooms were very clean and comfortable and the staff were very kind and helpful. We are a family of four and our two children loved it here. I really appreciated the gentle but obvious community aspect of this hotel. Shared space onsen was great and never too crowded, and we loved the evening treats after. Light night ramen after a soak was definitely a highlight. The location was fantastic- Omicho market was nearby and it was an easy walk to the main chaya district,
Absolutely amazing traditional Japanese hotel. The hotel immerses you even further in Japanese culture and customs, with shoes being forbidden in the entire property, incredible natural baths on the top floor, a manga room with a view to sip a coffee and relax, free unlimited snacks three times a day and the absolutely best Japanese-style breakfast I’ve had while in the city. I couldn’t recommend this place enough, absolutely fantastic!
The hotel requires you to remove your shoes and store them in a locker. That small detail gives a very different feeling for a hotel experience. The floors are covered in tatami mats and so show it gives a more peaceful vibe. The baths are great and the staff tries hard to please
