This is truly the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at. The facilities are outstanding—there’s a relaxing sauna and spa, plus comfortable massage chairs for winding down after a long day. After enjoying the sauna, you can help yourself to unlimited free ice cream, which was such a nice treat! In the evenings, complimentary ramen is served, which really makes you feel at home. The room’s fridge is also stocked with free sweets and bottled water, a thoughtful touch that made my stay even more comfortable. All of this comes at an incredible price. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

If you are visiting Kyoto and want to stay in a place which is not westernized but closer to the local culture then this is the place to be. The rooms were very clean and cozy. The amenities in the hotel are superb, particularly, onsen facility- very well managed. Hotel USP is that everyone has to remove their footwear before entering the hotel (lockers provided to store) and are given socks to walk around in the hotel. This helps maintain cleanness and also experience to walk on tatami board. Great experience.

If say an overall 4.3. Location is good: 3 minute taxi ride from Kyoto train station was real nice and a quite easy 45 minute hike up to the temples, plenty of places to shop and close by and if course the area is quite calm and safe at night. It's a busy hotel well set up for foreigners and we enjoyed the included global breakfast options. Room has good sound isolation even as low as the 3 rd floor the street traffic noise is suppressed with sliding double glazed windows. Room size is of course not like a USA hot l and we enjoyed the difference as actually it's well designed and I even had a sufficient area to use a workstation. It's a nice feeling returning to the hotel after exploring some of what Kyoto has to offer.
