One of the best hotels I've ever been in. Taking of the shoes really makes the experience better. The atmosphere was relaxing, the hotel was clean. The rooms were nice and comfy. The onsen of the 13th floor was great and clean. The food was delicious (you have to pay for breakfast, but there are free ice creams and soba in the evening). The service and staff were really great, and made our stay better. Location was good, the hotel was near a Lawson, 7-Eleven, subway, ... but it's a really empty neighborhood in the evening.
We thought this place was really cute. Loved no shoes and how the whole place was sorta like a home away from home for Japanese. The onsen was good and clean. Free noodles! Free ice cream snacks! I think other reviews that criticize the room size, wheel cleaning of luggage, and so forth are not well traveled people. We had no issues at this hotel. The location of the hotel is a bit away from the noise and bustle, which we didn't mind. Train stations were close enough for a quick walk. A note however; local restaurants get very busy and cater towards locals more than to the tourists, so try to get reservations or be wary of the time you choose to eat at. Yes, small pillows, easy to work around, bed was fine.
Great location, comfy cozy room. Comfy bed, if you're used to a firmer bed, we just asked reception for extra pillows. We were on the third floor and you could hear some street noise but it did not disturb our sleep. Nice to have the amenities such as massage chairs, onsen and ramen included.
