Great room with private onsen . The best is how staffs are very friendly and helpful. There is a heavy snow on the day that we stay. We asked for a shovel to clear the snow on our car in the hotel parking lot. The staffs said "do not need , We are already working to clear the snow on every cars in the parking lot " . I'm from US and no way in hell that staffs here will do that for the guests

Our room is older than expected . Basically the whole room is so old, but it’s clean. Limited amenities provided, hair dryer very old, towel worn out. There’s a small tv at living room, directly facing 1 of the bed, at night it feels super creepy like somebody from living room watching us sleep 🥴👻💀☠️👽🤡 There’s another weird old monitor at bedroom beside another bed, which also feels super weird . 💀☠️👻 There’s a small storage area they keep all the tatami and extra bed inside , next to the living room old tv. It has no light 🤡💀👻 The hot water flows 24/7 in the hot tub, it’s comfortable and relaxing BUT I think the water is never fully drain and clean coz I mean look at my pic of the small wooden housekeeping trolley that they only do minor cleaning . Breakfast is ok , choices of western and traditional Japanese. Dinner is not ok , basic and not taste good, some food not fresh . Welcome drinks ok, the doughnut terrible. U will have to tell front desk to reserve what time u eat , and appear on time to Dining area . After 7-8pm basically the whole street is dead silent and dark , no streetlights. And to make it worse, the hotel off all the hallways light , starting from the moment I step out from my room to lobby area all hallway are DARK 💀👻☠️ Fun part is the wine dispenser at lobby , u can try some local made red wine , white wine and rose. Parking is free , outdoor , we drove from Tokyo to here and drove back . The bellman will help u to take luggage to the hotel. Room type : annex 2/3F Japanese western style room with mt Fuji view bath ( if u have budget pls go for the new western room type , it’s less creepy I guess) Price : 77,000 JPY / 533 USD With This price TBH I won’t be staying again I experienced much better standard private bath hotel at Taiwan Beitou . And no creepy feeling of course .

We selected one of the most expensive rooms with private Onsen. The Mount Fuji view by the window is beautiful but there were mold all over the ceiling. We immediately notified the front desk and they didn’t do anything except offering apologies. We told them the mold were easily removable as we have tried. If simple cleaning were maintained, there wouldn’t be this much mold around. Dinner was horrible and breakfast was delicious.
