Opal Key Resort & Marina Key West

We had a wonderful time here last week for my birthday, we checked in Monday with a stay planned through Thursday. Although front desk did a wonderful job with helping us extend to checkout on Friday, while also keeping us in our room which was gorgeous! Front desk, pool staff, housekeeping, Lolita servers hostess and bartenders were all wonderful and super friendly. We live in Miami and come to Key west a few times every year, we’ve never stayed here but CANNOT wait to stay again soon! We’ve definitely found our trusted key west hotel🙏🏼 Cannot say enough about the ocean front room! Gorgeous sunset views everyday, such a dream.

I was in Key West recently and stayed just one night at the Opal Key Resort & Marina, and let me tell you, I was really impressed. For a one-night trip, the location was absolutely perfect. The hotel itself was great—the room was spotless, and everything felt fresh and clean. Being right next to Mallory Square and a short walk to Duval Street made our single night so much easier. We were able to walk to a fantastic dinner and get to the famous sunset celebration without even thinking about a car. The pool is a bit small, but it was still a great spot to relax. And trust me, the valet parking is a game-changer if you're only there for a quick trip. It saves so much hassle. I felt like the price was totally worth it for the convenience and quality of a single night's stay. It's a fantastic spot for anyone visiting Key West.

Great location and beautiful views, with some room for improvement! We recently stayed at the Opal Key Resort and overall had a good experience. Check-in took quite a while due to limited staff at the front desk, but once we were settled in, things went more smoothly. The wristband system was very convenient — it gave access to the room, the garage, and other hotel facilities. We stayed in a beautifully renovated condo with a stunning view of the marina and unforgettable sunsets. The air conditioning was quite loud, though, which could be improved. The carpet in the hotel felt very much outdated and had noticeable stains — it would really benefit from being replaced. We appreciated that we didn’t have to use valet parking ($40), as there was self-parking available for $30. One odd experience was with laundry service: our clothes were missing until we happened to spot a drying rack outside and retrieved them ourselves. The pool area was often crowded and the chairs were taken early, but the location of the hotel is excellent and near Duval Street: we could walk to the restaurants for breakfast and dinner. There’s a lovely coffee shop just underneath the hotel which we really enjoyed. Despite a few issues, we had a nice stay and enjoyed our time in Key West.
