While I didn’t stay overnight at this hotel but I stayed at Opal sol this time next to it, I did get to spend some time enjoying its pool area and beach bar—and both were absolutely fantastic. Pool: The pool was beautiful, spacious, and well-maintained, with plenty of comfortable seating and shaded spots. The atmosphere was lively yet still relaxing, making it a great place to unwind on a sunny day. Beach Bar: The beach bar was an absolute highlight—serving refreshing, well-crafted drinks right by the water. From tropical cocktails and every beverage was made with care and served with a smile and stuff we’re so friendly. Sipping an ice-cold drink while watching the waves was pure paradise as the ocean view from the bar made the experience even better. From what I saw, the hotel has a vibrant and inviting vibe, and if the rest of the service matches the quality of the pool and bar, it’s definitely a place worth considering for a future stay.
The Opal Sands Resort in Clearwater Beach is outstanding! Beautiful rooms with amazing views, immaculate grounds, and a stunning pool. The staff was extremely friendly, courteous, and accommodating. The restaurant is exceptional — more like a five-star dining experience than a typical hotel restaurant, with an impressive wine selection that made it hard to leave the property. This was our second visit, and definitely not our last! The “Opal experience” sets a new standard for luxury.
We only had one afternoon/night as we were headed from Key West to Destin, but the front desk was super accommodating and let us check in early so we could enjoy the pool and cool off. The valet were super kind and friendly as they took our luggage up quickly. Pool was crowded but pool staff was working hard bringing iced tea and keeping up with everyone. We ate lunch at the sand bar and it was good with lots of gluten free options. We were in room 517 and the sunset and view was amazing!! Very clean well stocked room and lots of amenities like cold water, fruit and snacks in the hallways. Free ice cream poolside as well. Very family friendly
