The room was spacious and comfortable, and the hotel’s traditional style added a lot of character to the stay. The location was very convenient — right near Riga’s main train and bus stations, making it easy to get around. A great choice for travelers!
Received a room upgrade with good view, due to communication problems on their end, which was highly appreciated. The cleanliness needs to be better as there was dirty and hair in some room corners, which I had to request for them to clean. I also tried my best to communicate (with hand gestures) to the housekeeping person that there is a (sort of big) spiders in the room and hoping they would clean the cob webs, but was disappointed. I had to, in the end, kill the poor spider (which I hate) when it appeared and scared me. This made me feel horrible as this could have been avoided. 😓
When we arrived in the room 322 was not clean at all. There were black hairs everywhere, I saw later that the cleaning lady had black hair of course... The toilet had excrement in it, the bathtub was dirty. The SPA section was not working due to a technical problem, but nobody mentioned it when we booked! If we know this we do not we go there because we go there specifically for the SPA part! The air conditioning was also not working, also due to a "technical problem". For a 4 star hotel, this is below criticism! We are very very disappointed!
