Absolutely a god send during the recent Portugal/Spain power outage. The staff remained calm and professional. While another hotel nearby was turning guests away because the computer system was down, this one turned to using back up handwritten records and staff walked us up to our rooms multiple times to open doors! Apart from the staff’s ability to adapt during an unusually challenging time, the hotel itself was very comfortable. I had one of my best night’s rest despite worrying about the uncertainties at the time. Highly recommended. The team working on 28th April 2025 is indeed a credit to the company.

The rooms are very clean and modern, close to hotel. Pool was not the best. The property however runs on too rigid a set of rules. You may not eat in the lobby (they will tell you to leave), you must sign for a towel, (or cannot use the pool), keys didn’t open door, they could not process our credit card 3x - needed to fill out a detailed form (then it worked) Pleasant hotel that does the job - just follow the rules.

Your dismissive message from hotel this morning, the following is the reply: Your response contains several inaccuracies that must be corrected: 1. No offer was made to prepare vegetarian scrambled eggs or any alternative. If such an offer had been extended, we would have accepted it. 2. The scrambled eggs were presented in a shared unit under one hood alongside bacon and sausages. This is what prompted the concern regarding dietary separation. 3. The same female staff member referenced in our original review again exhibited abrupt and antagonistic behaviour during breakfast the following day. This was not an isolated incident. We stand by the facts of our experience as documented in the original review. The dismissive attitude from both staff and management, along with the refusal to engage constructively, remains the key issue. As vegetarians, we were shocked to find scrambled eggs stored in the same container as bacon and sausages. When I raised this with a staff member at breakfast, I was told: “That is how we store, what is the issue?” – completely dismissive. Later, my wife raised the same concern with a female staff member and was met with abrupt behaviour and antagonising eye contact, which left her visibly upset for the rest of the day. The next morning at 08:30 hrs, I asked to speak to the hotel manager. Reception said it was “too early.” I requested a call-back. In the afternoon, I was told the manager does not speak with guests and that all concerns must be sent via the general hotel email address. This level of service is unacceptable. Dietary needs were ignored. Staff were rude. Management avoided contact entirely. There was no effort to resolve the issue or take ownership. Completely unprofessional and disappointing.
