The location is stunning with views out onto the Island of Hoy. The room is kept to high spec, it was very clean, excellent quality furniture. And good bus connections for those of you like me who don't drive. I have been very well taken care of.

This was ideally situated for our trip, halfway between Stromness and Kirkwall. The rooms are very clean & comfortable and of a high standard. The place is quiet, which was good as we enjoyed the peace. As to the question: "Would we stay there again?" Answer is yes.

I stayed at Orkney lodge recently. I enjoyed the beautiful scenery. I stayed at the front, facing the water. I would recommend the front as the back is looking on to friendly horses and farmland but still serene. I prefer the look over towards Hoy. It is breathtaking in the morning when the sun is coming up. Amazing location! If you don’t have a car and you want to get about the Island at most times than stay in Kirkwall. Maybe three buses a day to Stromness and Kirkwall from Orkney lodge Houton but well worth the view. The facility is very clean with all mod apps. The owners are very friendly and knowledgeable, they are nice to chat to and it can be informative if you would like tips for traveling on the Island🌴 . The best room is Flotta as it is the biggest with the best view. Orkney has wonderful places to visit, the stones of Stenness have a powerful frequency vibration. The energy is wonderful. ❤️
