Osteria da Cesare e Locanda

We stayed here for a night on our way back from Greece. What a find! Wonderful dinner - the pasta was perfect and the meat dishes we chose were huge and very well prepared. Our room was bright and clean - a bit small, but a good sized bathroom. And the breakfast was amazing! Home made cakes, fresh orange juice, an enormous plate of hams. Best breakfast of our 4 week trip! I had a nice walk with the dog in the morning with beautiful, long-reaching views and through the vines on the sloping hills.

This is an excellent restaurant hidden in the hills above Castel San Pietro. In fact, be extremely careful which roads you use to get there because some are treacherous and Waze / Google may not recommend the safest options. As for the dinner experience, the staff was professional and courteous and able to speak some English. We had a large group so we shared many different antipasti choices - all excellent. We skipped the Primi selection and went straight for Secondi e Carne. All the Secondi e Carne choice were excellent. Deserts were terrific and the Lemoncello was perfectly cooled. In fact, our group thought that the Lemoncello was the best we had during our visit to Italy. I don't think you can go wrong with any choices on the menu at this restaraunt.

I am not a wine lover. Do actually not like wine at all. When that being Said, I am so greatful for this wine tasting experience. Amazing place. They really have passion for making wine. Go visit them!
