Ostuni Palace Hotel Ristorante & Spa

Charming, romantic hotel. Well located at walking distance from the historical center. The room is great, the breakfast is reasonable.

Ostuni Palace is a beautiful hotel in an impressive old villa and just 5min walk from the historic centre. The rooms are luxurious and very clean. But I felt the service does not fit the standard. I needed a doctor and it felt as if I was annoying the staff. The woman at the reception started looking for contacts of doctors in a book, but kind of emotionless. I expect something different in a hotel of this class. She did make an appointment for me, but again, she was kind of annoyed. The breakfast was ok, but I think the hotel should consider to invest in the restaurant. It’s a huge room like in a castle, but without any decoration, no flowers, no music. It felt very cold there and without any atmosphere. Nobody of the guests talked; it just felt strange. It could be so different (for example decoration, jazz music, staff with more „drive“ or whatsoever) and I think more people would book the restaurant then..

I booked a room and have been trying to cancel for two days and the hotel has been harrasing me with phone calls and whats app messages and emails, stating that they are going to charge me, yet they ignored my numerous messages to cancel
