We had a great stay at the Otter hotel. It's in a great location, walking distance to restaurants. The room was very nice. It dad have an obstructed view but overall it was a nice room. The bed was very comfortable. The pools were really nice with a view of the mountain but a little too hot to use in the Summer. We did not get a chance to eat at the restaurant downstairs but it is conveniently located and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. We would stay here again.
Wonderful Stay at Otter Hotel Banff in room 442! We stayed at the Otter Hotel Banff from June 28 to July 1, 2025, and had a fantastic experience overall. Our room (#442) had a stunning view of the mountains, which made every morning feel like a postcard. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed—especially the modern bathrooms, which was a nice. One of the highlights was the morning coffee setup in the lobby. They offer pour-over coffee, which was a really nice touch and way better than your typical hotel brew. The on-site restaurant, Good Folk, served delicious meals and had a welcoming atmosphere. We also highly recommend Sudden Sally, a great restaurant located in the sister hotel next door—definitely worth a visit for a meal. While the location is about 0.7 miles from downtown Banff, the hotel makes up for it by offering convenient bus access, with a stop right across the street. Super easy to get around. The only downside was the very, very slow elevators—if you're in a rush, you're better off taking the stairs. Overall, a great stay with plenty of comfort, style, and great food options. Although pretty expensive, we would definitely return.
We had a great stay at Otter Hotel last week! It was a easy check in process and the rooms were clean and fresh. They are on the smaller side so just be aware. The hotel is convenient to the bus stop which is great to go into town! It is on the expensive side but what isn't in Banff. Not sure if the price justifies the hotel but again all hotels charge like crazy in Banff. Only issue I had was asked for a late check out and was told it was fine at check in and then they changed their mind on the day we left. We had to scramble and leave since they changed their mind. Good thing the cleaning staff was patient and told us we were fine.
