Ouro Minas Hotel Belo Horizonte Dolce by Wyndham

One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Beautiful rooms, good breakfast, pool, and hot tub. I definitely recommend it.

The hotel is not bad, but some small details need to be improved. For example, there is no hot water boiler in the room to make coffee or tea. The hotel said it provides hot water but it's charged. I don't feel the 5 stars attentiveness 😓

I stayed at the Ouro Minas Palace on July 19th and returned on July 22nd after a trip to Ouro Preto. Our initial check-in was smooth, even though it was late at 11 pm. Kauan, the staff member who assisted us, was kind and did his best to explain the hotel amenities in English. Despite the outdated facilities, including very dirty carpets, we initially felt comfortable. However, our experience upon returning was far from pleasant. We were placed in a room next to someone with a dog, which barked frequently, causing a disturbance. The room's condition was concerning; the carpet was dirty, and our blanket was stained. The plumbing also got clogged, emitting a bad sewage smell. While maintenance attempted to fix the issue, it remained unresolved, leaving us with a lingering odor. To make matters worse, at around 11:30 pm, we heard someone playing the piano in the hotel. The soundproofing was inadequate, and the noise was quite loud. When we called the front desk to inquire when the music would stop, Rodrigo responded dismissively, asking why we were complaining and suggesting we tolerate it. This attitude was unreasonable and added to our frustration. Overall, our stay at Ouro Minas Palace was disappointing. The only positive aspect was Kauan's helpfulness during our first check-in. Unfortunately, the issues we faced and the lack of proper customer service overshadowed our experience. If I could give this hotel a negative rating, I would. Based on our experience, we do not recommend staying here.
