Overlander Homestead Motel

My wife and 2 daughters made a reservation whilst we were in town for a touch football competition. The staff are all excellent and very hospitable. The food was excellent. All fresh produce for the sides and the dessert was all hand made not from a packet. I travel for work interstate all around the country and the T-bone I had placed in front of me last night was the best I've ever had. The decor is old school and felt homely like I was going to dinner at a relatives place which was great. I thoroughly recommend this place to anyone looking for an old school country feed.

Charles is a champion. Excellent, country-friendly hospitality. Decent meal at the restaurant. I really don't like leaving poor reviews. Unfortunately the stay was ultimately soured by one thing: The Shower. Low water pressure is to be expected out west, it's just a thing. But what wasn't expected was the seemingly random, completely unpredictable shift from freezing cold to scalding hot and back again making any kind of meaningful showering virtually impossible... What made it worse was discovering this AFTER lathering up. Yeah. So after a huge day out in the muddy field, exhausted and filthy then accidentally having a miserable shower under a dribble at 11pm, then having the same thing again at 5am when it's 7 degrees outside.... Two nights in a row... Sorry Charles, that's a deal breaker for me. Totally soured the entire experience.

My dinner was Amazing. The meal was delicious and the service top notch. Hubby's dinner was unfortunately tepid-cold. He wasn't happy. The room was not up to 4.5 star standards. The wardrobe and refrigerator doors didn't close. The room was small and the door to the bathroom in room 13 squeaked every time it was opened and closed. The exhaust fan came on when the bathroom light was switched on. This brought the cigarette smoke from outside inside to the bathroom. It also woke hubby. Not happy. Although we could hear the highway noise it wasn't intrusive.
