Ovolo Melbourne South Yarra a Wyndham Hotel

I stayed for just one night, but had a really lovely experience. I had a small issue during check-in, but the person at the front desk was incredibly kind, attentive, and quick to help - which made all the difference. The service overall was great, and I genuinely enjoyed my short stay.

It has taken me a month to do this review - we really liked our stay, the location is super convenient closed to chapel st and many shops, cafes, restaurants. Train station is only 5 mins away, making it very easy to move around. Loved the decoration, very retro and cool. We chose one of the smaller rooms (boogie city) the space was not huge but was perfect for what we needed. Bed was very comfy and had a miny fridge with snacks, drinks etc. I was a little disappointed to see that the only coffee was instant, other similar hotels would have nesspresso coffee machines. The cutlery was really lacking, only 1 little spoon etc. We had plenty of options for coffee but would have been nice to have a better coffee available in the room. We could not workout the broadcast and end up watching normal tv. I did not ask for help as it was just at the end of the evening and was not that important. Bathroom was good, the toilet area was a little see through which was not a problem for us. The shower was really good and was a decent size. We had breakfast at their restaurant lona misa and was great, full of flavour. In general we had a nice stay & would recommend.

A modern hotel with a variety of rooms. Unfortunately the online description does show how small some of the rooms are. We opted for a better than the basic rate room but not the dearest. The room was very small and the bathroom had a glass wall so doing anything in the bathroom was visible to your partner! The bathroom was so small that the washbasin ws outside in the main part of the room next to the coffee making area! Quite strange!
