Our first time at this hotel bringing our two large Irish Setter dogs for a run on the beach. Many hotels advertise their dog friendliness but really don't live-up to the claims, Ox Pasture Hall really sets the standard for others in this regard and without it becoming an imposition on those holidaying without dogs. There is more than ample space for everyone to get on with their holiday. Surroundings are extensive and peaceful with plenty of wildlife to see in the field to the back of the hotel - we watched a barn owl hunt for more than an hour at twilight on both nights of our stay. Staff are warm and accommodating and incredibly hard working, nothing is too much trouble. The manager is a lovely lady who really knows how to make guests feel at home and despite seeming to work all the hours of the day was always cheery and available to guests. In summary - great hotel & wonderful staff.
Booked bed, breakfast, evening meal and use of spa for a getaway for my wife’s birthday. Upon arrival was welcomed by the desk staff and manager. We arrived 3 hrs before check in time so used the spa facilities until our room was ready. The spa was clean and well maintained and the staff very professional. Virginia delivered fantastic massages. We stayed in a first floor suite with views over the gardens. Lots of wildlife present. The room had everything we required and was clean and tidy. Dinner was beautiful with plenty of options over 3 coarses. Breakfast was also excellent with a good selection. The bar was cozy, well stocked with a nice ambiance. Overall had a fantastic stay and was well looked after. Would recommend and will be going back
Had 2 nights out of season in a very empty hotel, which is a shame, because the welcome was warm, the room large, clean and well equipped, the dinner very nice and breakfast quite adequate. Second night we seemed to be the only guests but the staff kept the standards high for us. A lovely rural setting though the grounds needed a bit of preening.
