I have been at this resort the first time in 1992. Since then I have been there around 15 times. The service was always excellent and I never ever had anything to complain about. Can't wait to be there again with my family in around 5 weeks. Even we live now in Switzerland this long trip with 4 kids is worth it.
I had so much fun here! I would have to say that the servers make this place the VERY BEST resort. Didn’t meet even one server that was crabby or short with us! They were ALL WONDERFUL! The rooms could use an upgrade, but were very clean, and that’s what we care about! They could use a coat of festive colored paint. And, our biggest issue was the stairs.. My husband has neuropathy and we were up many stairs and one set of spiral steps that were very small. But, our fault that we didn’t mention getting a different room. But, would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Pacifica Sands! I will miss the view, the weather, the food, and the PEOPLE!
Was here for a week and it was relaxing. The views are beautiful. Most staff know a small amount of English but if helps to know some Spanish too. There are spots to reserve at the beach but they go by early (8am) and there’s not really any areas to lay towels down on the sand if you don’t get one. We had the all-inclusive package and it was confusing. Meals and drinks are paid for but you get a check at every meal. We went to the front desk to ask what the charges were (0.01) for everything you ordered and was told it’s a way to track items. When we asked if we needed to tip or if it was included they said tip but sounded unsure. Also, there are two fees added for taxes (≈3%) and “background worker” (95 pesos a day) when you check-in. Overall, decent spot not sure if all inclusive is totally worth it but it is convenient - just remember that it does not include gratuity for any of the workers.
