Outdoor seating under roof and plenty of indoor seating in attractive interior. Good central location across the street from the town’s main square and near the castle. Good cakes, desserts and meals.

We had such a lovely stay! The hotel is in the centre of the town, has a great location (free parking), stores, kids playgrounds, bars and restaurants are close (walking distance) and so is the lake (it's a few kilometres to the lake, a lovely walk thought the town). The breakfast is so good! You must try pancakes! A lot to choose from (coffee, tea, fruit juice, eggs, bacon, ham, cheese, yoghurt, fruit, cookies...). Also head down to the hotels cake shop and have some cakes- they are all delicious! I highly recommend Hotel Paka! Very kind staff, bright rooms with a nice view.

We ended up by chance in Velenje as a result of the flood evacuations. We were welcomed by this amazing hotel and its friendly staff. The central location also gave us the unexpected opportunity to get to know Velenje, which we enjoyed, including a tour of the nearby castle. The hotel rooms were spotless and the staff were amazing and the food great. Highly recommend this hotel and Velenje.
