We had a very large room with a balcony. Clean and comfortable. The restaurant is okay. Not great. There were only two wo choices for dinner or lunch. It was pouring rain, so we stayed. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and we'll maintained. There is also a spa and small fitness area. The center of Penamacor is walking distance.
A quality place easily overlooked with good facilities, caring staff and some extras in the form of hot natural spa
We wanted to have our wedding there (which was last month). Went 6 months in advance and they seemed happy to host us... until, that is, they decided to not respond to emails whatsoever. If I hadn't experienced it, I wouldn't have believed a hotel, and a supposedly good one at that, could be so unprofessional. If I could, I would give it 0 stars. Almost ruined our day. Luckily, we were able to find another hotel that made our wedding day truly magical. P.S.: and because it was a tiny wedding, they wanted to charge us 30% extra which we agreed to without question, and they were still absolutely disgusting in the way they treated us. And the only requirement we had was for a gluten-free menu which we stated from day 1 and they said they could accommodate. Other than that, we were flexible with everything: meals, decorations, etc. abd still got the zero-star treatment...
