The first thing I have to say is that the staff here is wonderful. They may be a little shy at first (as is typical in the Balkans), but they are extremely friendly if you are friendly to them. They were always attentive to our needs, and the woman who welcomed us to the restaurant even remembered our names and room number every single time. We truly felt welcome and at home here. Secondly, all of the hotel’s amenities are perfectly fine. The views are wonderful, and it’s easy to reach the Old Town via public transportation. It was nice not to be in the heavily touristic Old Town and instead have the chance to explore parts of the city that most visitors never see. The sea views are spectacular, and I highly recommend going to dinner early to get a seat outside so you can enjoy the beautiful sunset. I noticed that some other guests complained about the “luxury level” of the hotel, but in my opinion, the problem lies with the guests, not the hotel. These overly demanding visitors could use an attitude adjustment! All in all, I highly recommend this place.

We spent a week here for our summer holiday. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is in a great location with a great beach, outdoor and indoor swimming pools. Rooms are a good size and very comfortable. There is a bus stop outside the hotel that goes into town and terminates in the "old town". Bys is every 15minutes each way. It's a 10minute walk to the nearest shops/ restaurants (straight down one road). Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

If “five stars” had a platinum level, Palace Hotel Dubrovnik would have it. From the moment we arrived (late and hungry), the staff swooped in, bags vanished into our rooms, and food magically appeared—even after 10pm! Special shout-out to the hilarious and ever-smiling maître d’ Marijana, who greeted us by name and brought warmth and humour to every mealtime. HR deserves a serious pat on the back for hiring her—she’s a real asset to the hotel. Breakfasts were fresh and abundant—you could have lived on pastries alone, but the eggs and fruit were so good we almost considered becoming morning people. Half-board is a savvy choice: we explored all day, then returned to feasts featuring everything from calamari to swordfish. The private beach and pools were perfect for relaxing, or, if you’re a bit more adventurous, you can try scuba diving—my children had the best time exploring the Adriatic seabed and making friends with the fishes. The location is ideal, with taxis on tap and a bus stop to the Old Town right outside. Whether you need suncream or souvenirs, this place has a shop for it. Even better, the Croatian prime minister was staying at the hotel at the same time as us—so you know it’s a popular spot for VIPs! All in all, we left full, relaxed, a shade browner, and with a few new family in-jokes thanks to the staff’s sense of humour and genuine kindness. Highly recommended!
