What a lovely hotel. All of the staff we interacted with were happy and helpful, nothing seemed like too much trouble. We had both the evening meal and breakfast included. The evening meal was lovely, well presented, very tasty. Portions seemed on the small side but were enough when you have a 3 course meal included. Breakfast was a good meal too, the only improvement I could suggest is larger cups for tea and coffee, while a cup and saucer looks lovely on the table I felt like I was drinking from a thimble and was up and down like a yo yo for a refill. It would have been nice to have a slightly larger continental selection too, there weren’t any cheeses or cooked meats. The bread selection was small too, just sliced brown and white, it would be nice to see this with some crusty bread, crumpets etc. with plentiful parking, and how welcomed our family and dog were made to feel we absolutely will return.

Thanks to all the staff. Our stay was outstanding. Nothing was too much trouble and you all worked your socks off. Always smiling and had time for every guest. Food was great too. Loved the new sizzle menu. Looking forward to our next stay, already booked.

This is a great hotel. The rooms are excellent and the staff are friendly, welcoming and provide excellent service. We were staying as part of a group of 70 people over the weekend with banquet style dinner every night and the food was excellent, a quality you would be impressed to receive in a restaurant. We also had afternoon tea most days which were excellent with the lightest scones you are likely to have any where. I cannot praise the hotel staff enough, they were excellent and made the weekend perfect.
