A Hidden Gem in the Heart of the Medina – Palais DONAB Palais DONAB is a true oasis tucked away in the heart of the Medina. Set in the charming courtyard of a small palace-hotel, this place offers not only delicious food but also a wonderfully serene atmosphere. The pool area is especially relaxing — shaded and cool, even during the heat of the day — and the soft sounds of splashing water and chirping birds add to the tranquil vibe. The food is bursting with flavor. I enjoyed a beautifully prepared local tagine, perfectly paired with a lovely glass of wine, all right by the pool. Every bite was a delight, and the drinks were just as satisfying. The waiter was extremely attentive and made the experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re looking for a quiet lunch or a romantic dinner, Palais DONAB is absolutely worth a visit. Highly recommended!
What a truly wonderful riad. The room was so comfortable and decorated in traditional Moroccan style. The staff were very helpful and firendly. The lcoation was perfect. Easy for exploring the markets and local area. We have already booked to stay again!
We booked a meal by the poolside restaurant for 4. The food was delicious and the restaurant location was great with a nice atmosphere. The service was absolutely diabolical. We’ve waited for our order to be taken. We asked for a menu and had to chase down the waiter after 30 minutes to take the order. Same every single time we needed anything. The restaurant wasn’t full. The chairs are uncomfortable and made for people 6 foot or taller because our feet were dangling. Will not be returning despite the delicious food.
