Palazzo 4 Fontane 12

Having read previous reviews i was a little concerned. Yes its not 4 star by our standards but the staff were friendly and helpful at all times. The room was small and could do with updating but i had clean towels and bedding constantly. I was glad i took my kettle no facility in room but i did have a fridge. Go with an open mind you only sleeping there and having breakfast which was also good. You have that much to see and do in Rome you will never be there.

Stayed for a week in June 2012 as a family of four with two young children. Multi-lingual staff were very helpful, giving us directions and suggestions for places to go that were not the main tourist attractions. Room was comfortable with enough storage space for us to unpack and still be able to move around in. No storage in the bathroom, so it became a little cramped with bathroom stuff having to live on the floor. Location was very good for us, with an easy walk to many interesting places and generally safe feeling when out in the evenings. Was surprised that a hotel of this quality still charges separately for WIFI since every other hotel we stayed in provided it free. Still, a minor complaint in an otherwise comfortable and pleasant stay.

Good location. Walking distance to most major spots. Very close to metro and bus stops. Our third day we came back to a unserviced room! We where out for 12 hours! Reception said they where short staffed. Also no tea or coffee in room. Not a true 4 star. Patchiness of wifi, it's slow and drops in and out.
