Palazzo Altavilla

My husband and I recently stayed at Palazzo Stunis on our honeymoon and were welcomed by our fabulous host Matteo! The property, the location, the history, the incredible breakfast - the entire experience was unforgettable and amazing. Matteo gave us not only a beautiful place to stay but incredible hospitality. After serving us the most delightful and beautifully presented breakfast I have ever seen, he sat with us and explained the ins and outs of not only Ostuni, but all the parts of Puglia we were visiting. He kindly suggested different day trips, beaches and restaurants to visit, which became the foundation of our 2 weeks in Puglia. Everything he recommended was perfect and we are certain we would not have had the same experiences without spending time with Matteo. He also booked us some amazing restaurants in Ostuni (which were some of the best meals of our entire 4 weeks in Italy) and suggested beautiful bars for pre/post dinner drinks along with the best view points to view the white city. Our only regret was not staying for longer. Matteo, we will most certainly be back and highly recommend your beautiful property to all future guests. Bellissimo!

My wife and I have just left Palazzo Stunis and were blown away by the experience. The host Matteo has left no stone unturned in not only the renovation of his family home (paying tribute to and respecting the gorgeous build) but also the service and hospitality. From the fresh sheets on the bed daily through to the delicious breakfast and the attention to detail throughout, this is the place you NEED to stay at when you come to Ostuni. The location is amazing being so close to town and the private parking makes things super easy if you have a car. On top of it all, Matteo is such a friendly and warm person that you really like a family member in his home, not a guest.

We were hosted by Mateo the owner. He is charming and helpful. The continental breakfast is a catered affair with savoury and sweet choices. Our street level unit had just been plastered and completed so the initial smell on a humid day did worry me as there was only one window and a private entry for fresh air.... We did rely on the AC and it was great. Clean as a whistle the whole townhouse. Very central to shops and restaurants and a spectacular location for authentic historic flavour. Our luggage had be lost in Frankfurt and on the second day Matteo offered to call his friend to drive us back to the Bari airport. Not only did Johnny drive us he came into the lost and found and told them to retrieve our luggage which the travel tags confirmed were there.... he then took us to our destination in Ayroldi. Johnny was our hero that day. Don't miss a wonderful visit... this was the best accommodation and host.
