Palazzo Castagna Boutique Hotel

That’s was an absolutely amazing experience. Everything was great from the moment of check-in till to check-out. The personal - they are always were so nice, helpful, friendly, ready to help/recommend/fix any problems and troubles. Rooms very comfortable and big, clean, also this beautiful and peaceful view on inner garden from the balcony. Cleaning of rooms was very detailed. Conditioner works pretty good. The city where hotel is (Ghaxaq) - is very quiet, not so much people, clean and religious, and I like it. Once at 10pm we saw bright and a lil bit loud religious fest, but anyway it’s was very impressive to watch and hear. Food was good, especially breakfasts, not so many main dishes - but many additional meals, juices, jams, etc. Also, there is a restaurant at rooftop too, good prices, different meals, was very tasty. There are two pools - at rooftop and inner one, water is really clean, very good to local weather. A little bit trouble with logistics, for some local places you need to go via 1-2 buses, but for Valletta it’s almost straight way. So in my opinion - that’s strong 9/10 Recommend to anyone who going the Malta.

We had a very nice stay here! The location is perfect if you're looking for a quiet place just 10 min from the airport. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised to get a free upgrade to a deluxe room with a garden view — great way to start the trip. The property is a beautifully renovated palazzo from 1756 — full of charm but very clean and well maintained. The rooftop pool was a highlight: plenty of loungers, fresh towels provided, a bar with a good selection of drinks, and a fun happy hour from 4 to 6 pm. Breakfast was included and quite decent, with options for all tastes. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. One small downside: we found that the toiletries in the room were expired (produced in 2022 with a 2-year shelf life). We reported this to the reception and they replaced them immediately with full-size new products, so they handled it well. Hopefully they will fix this issue moving forward. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay at Palazzo Castagna, a beautifully kept boutique hotel that truly exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spotless, the entire hotel was incredibly clean, and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful throughout our visit. A special thank you to Nirosha, who went above and beyond when our daughter accidentally left something behind after check-out. She made sure the item was returned to us quickly and with such care — it’s rare to find that level of dedication these days, and we’re truly grateful. Breakfast was also lovely – fresh, tasty, and a great way to start the day. Highly recommend this charming spot to anyone visiting Malta.
