The Palazzo was lovely and the rooms very large. Ours opened to a narrow set of stairs down or it would have rated five stars. But the room itself was elegant and spacious. They did an excellent job of redoing an old building to make it have modern convenience without losing its charm. The location could not have been better. easy walking to all the major sites yet on a quiet, peaceful little street. I pity the poor traveler who books a hotel in the old town district and end up in the midst of the endless crowds and noise. The service was also very good. Nice espresso in the morning on the little terrace and help with our bags and parking.

Honestly one of the BEST hotels we have stayed in. Service is outstanding! The room we had with bathtub was absolutely amazing! It had fantastic air conditioning which was lovely and cooling which meant we had great sleeps along with the room being quiet with a nice comfy bed and pillows. Even the mini bar was excellent with a nice selection of wines, champagne and spirits. We were sad to leave as we had such a great time! It made Florence extra special for us and we will definitely be staying here on our return visit to Firenze😍

Hospitality Failure This year I booked a night at this hotel. Unfortunately, the day I was to check in, a relative passed away. I needed to attend the funeral. I asked to move the reservation to the following week. They refused. I asked for a receipt, since they took my room fee because of their three-day cancellation policy. They refused to provide one. I have not personally experienced such a crass display of a lack of empathy in anyone. All I asked was a receipt. The money was theirs to keep. So, be careful. Know who you are dealing with. The management of this hotel could care less about you. *** My reply: Today, July 12, 2025, I still have not received the receipt, and because of that I contest the inaccurate version of the management. I would gladly remove this post if they would send me a receipt.
