Palazzo Vaglio Relais

Nardò is a real hidden gem and a great base for discovering the beauty of Puglia. The town is peaceful, full of history, and has the kind of authentic charm you rarely find. It’s not crowded with tourists, which makes walking through its lovely streets even more enjoyable. And the food? Absolutely fantastic – so many excellent restaurants to choose from. Relais Palazzo Vaglio was the perfect place for our stay. The room was huge, the bed super comfortable, and the whole interior felt elegant and stylish – even better than the photos. You can feel that everything was designed with care. The staff was incredibly friendly, always with a smile, and ready to help with anything. And the rooftop terrace? A dream. We spent several evenings there just enjoying the view and the quiet. Special thanks to Jacopo – he’s not just a host, he’s like a personal guide. His recommendations for beaches and restaurants were spot on, and you can really see he cares about his guests having the best experience. I would come back in a heartbeat. One of those places that stays with you even after the trip ends.

We had a fantastic stay at Palazio Vaglio. The whole building and the furnishing feels luxurious in a genuine way and at the top of the building there is a lovely rooftop with wonderful views, especially at sunset. It seems as everything is newly renovated which brings a very pleasant smell throughout the whole building. The beds in our room were also really comfortable. The owner is very friendly, service-minded and fluent in English (which is kind of rare in south Italy) which was really helpful for us who doesn’t speak a word Italian. The owner gave us many good recommendations of restaurants and activities in the area but also on our day tours around Puglia. Our visit in south Italy would not have been as good and memorable if it wasn’t for all these recommendations. We truly enjoyed our stay at Palazio Vaglio and we will definitely come back when we return to Puglia next time!

Great service from Jacopo and team. Rooms have character. Always clean. Breakfast had all the essentials. Only negative is sometimes the street noise can be quite loud.
