Palm Bay Resort

This resort is truly a gem! We were warmly welcomed upon arrival with a drink, and our room was ready immediately. There’s wonderful wildlife at the resort, the views are absolutely beautiful, and the restaurant is great. The staff were accommodating and lovely and the rooms were great with stunning views. I’d absolutely recommend this resort to anyone!

We spent 10 beautiful days at Palm Bay Resort and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely relaxed and welcomed. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect – always friendly, helpful, and genuinely caring. We were especially impressed by the chef, who prepared delicious vegan meals for us even though there weren’t any listed on the menu. It made a huge difference and showed how thoughtful and accommodating the team is. The weather was absolutely stunning during our entire stay – sunny days, calm waters, and the perfect backdrop for a peaceful holiday. We enjoyed every moment surrounded by nature and the tranquillity of the island. The only small downside was that our bungalow could use a bit of maintenance – nothing major, but a few touch-ups here and there would really make the place shine. Also, we had hoped to find a paddle board available, as we’d seen some in Instagram videos before coming. Still, these were just minor things compared to the amazing overall experience. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming about our next visit. Palm Bay is truly a hidden gem.

A very unique and picturesque resort on Long Island in the Whitsundays. It’s pretty isolated so you don’t really leave the resort much which actually gets you to embrace having relaxing days. From someone that normally likes doing something busy each day on holiday it was nice to be able to relax, read, swim and kayak. The staff are great, most are backpackers on their working holiday visas however they’re all super professional and helpful. The gym does the job and the sunrises + sunsets are spectacular. Overall would visit again. Prices are to be expected in the Whitsundays like airport prices, so not on a budget unless you bring lots of your own food with you. The only thing suggestion I could make is that the resort gets more kayaks. From photos I can see that they had more kayaks once upon a time, they have four kayaks which is adequate on quieter days but often when they get alot of day visitors there aren’t any left for long periods.
