Palm Continental Hotel

If you like a bit of punk this place is ok. A four star hotel that has been degraded to two and a half star over time. There is probably a pretty punk smoking terrace on every floor. Cleanliness is so-so. The batteries in the remote controlers are chewed to make them last longer, so the hotel is essentially environmentally friendly.

Definitely NOT 4-stars. Rooms not properly cleaned. Dirty bedding, dirty bath (insects and dirt). Room smells like smoke. Passages very dark the lights work with motion sensored lights. Only one lift works. The gym equipment is broken. The hotel is dusty. Concentrated juice at breakfast. Stains on towels. Asked for room service to clean room when we went out for the day, returned and didn't clean the bathroom, only made up the old bedding and gave new towels.

My husband and I stayed at the Palm Continental Hotel for one night and when we arrived at the hotel, our room was untidy and not cleaned. The bedding was laying on the desk and the bed was unmade, there were dirty coffee cups in the room. I was extremely surprised because our check in was very late so the room was unoccupied the whole day. I tried to call reception to ask that the room be cleaned and sheets be put on the bed but no one answered and when I went down to complain at the reception desk, no one was available. The next morning we went to have breakfast and there were insects in the salad and a cockroach crawing in the the bowl of tomatoes. I am very disappointed. This was by far, the worst experience I have ever had.
