Palms Mount Lavinia

The pool area and the outdoor area is spacious. However the food wasn’t that great. Expected more with flavour. The lobby area is nice. The staff is quiet helpful but could improve in their size. A moderate place.

This was the worst experience at all, when we arrive we talk to a guy who was in all fairness was kind enough and offered us their dayout package. We explain that we will be staying until 4:00 p. m in the afternoon but we will be checking in early it was around 8:00 a.m in the morning, he said it wasn't the standard time for check in so we understand. At that moment we were suppose to leave but he stop us and said its fine and he even offered a dayout package. He gave us a certain amount to pay which includes breakfast but when the rude receptionist guy came suddenly he was asking for extra payment if we are not going to check out at 1:30 pm,but we followed the first agreement. The package we chose includes a welcome drink that we didn't even receive, the breakfast included became a late lunch, and when the receptionist guy delivered the food in our room, there's no utensils and there was no respect at all like he was banging the door while we were sleeping. The room wasn't clean, it doesn't even smell good. The bed linen has stains, the pillow cases were so dirty and there was no toiletries but we never complain to them. We ask for a blanket and they just gave us like an old linen. Overall it was a nightmare and we would never ever try a dayout at this hotel again.

We checked in today just to spend our Sunday by the having a Swim. We have been to this hotel for over 15 years just because it’s convenient and close to my place. The owner and management is not interested in upgrading standards. The restaurant napkins were stained and disgusting. The room toilet was blocked . The toilet fittings and some bed linen are as old as 20 years and not maintained. There is no customer service by anyone except for the pool guy who has always been really friendly . This is the last time I am gonna come here. The pool is very clean and maintained well. Which is the reason we come here. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone as there are much better places around.
