⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Magical Stay in the Heart of Nature – Hotel Octant Lousã is Exceptional! From the moment we arrived at Hotel Octant Lousã, we were blown away by the charm, hospitality, and breathtaking surroundings. Nestled at the edge of the stunning Lousã Mountains, this hotel is the perfect blend of luxury, history, and nature. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive – always smiling and ready to go above and beyond to make our stay perfect. We felt truly welcome, like guests in someone’s beautiful home. Our room was spacious, immaculately clean, and tastefully decorated with a modern yet cozy feel. Waking up to views of the mountains and castle was nothing short of magical. The amenities are top-notch – we especially enjoyed the serene outdoor pool area and the relaxing spa. The breakfast buffet was delicious with fresh local ingredients, and the on-site restaurant served one of the best meals we’ve had in Portugal, featuring regional flavors with a gourmet twist. What sets Octant Lousã apart is the way it celebrates its location – offering the tranquility of nature, proximity to historic villages and trails, and a true sense of place. Whether you’re here to hike, unwind, or explore, it’s the perfect base. Truly a five-star experience from beginning to end. We can’t wait to return!
Review of the restaurant below… The hotel is very nice, and the staff is very attentive. We arrived during the heat wave, and it seemed the hotel wasn’t quite ready for summer yet. However, once we asked for sun umbrellas at the pool, they organized it very quickly. I stayed in the new part, which is nice, and the room is spacious. The hotel isn’t the newest, and it shows, but they do their best to maintain it. The biggest downside of the hotel is the restaurant. Breakfast is enjoyable, but dinner was quiet disappointing. Perhaps that's why other guests didn’t recommend it during our stay. The food was rather plain and lacked seasoning, even salt. We ordered boiled potatoes but got fries instead. Additionally, we paid €11 for bread with olive oil, which seems excessive especially it came from the breakfast buffet. When I shared my feedback about the food, there was no response from the staff—very disappointing. Overall, it's a very nice hotel, but I wouldn’t recommend the restaurant. There are much better options in the village with nicer food and better value for money.
A pleasant stay overall, but with some disappointing issues. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and have stayed here before, so we came with good expectations. Overall, it’s a nice place. That said, there are a few things worth mentioning. First, the quality of the beds and pillows wasn’t particularly comfortable—but of course, that’s a matter of personal preference. A more serious issue, however, was breakfast. When we arrived about 30 minutes before the end of the breakfast service, most of the food had already run out. My spouse and I were left picking through what little was left, which was very disappointing. This really shouldn’t happen at a hotel of this level. Another drawback is the lack of electric vehicle charging stations, which was quite inconvenient. We still had a generally positive impression, but these issues definitely need attention.
