The buffet is excellent and the staff are friendly. The music during mealtimes is pleasant and unique. We visited during the off-season, so the beach was less crowded, but swimming wasn’t possible due to strong currents. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a lovely balcony view of the sea.

I had a great stay at Pandanus Hotel. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-furnished, offering a very comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The location is excellent, with easy access to the beach, making it perfect for a laid-back getaway. Whether you want to take a walk along the shore or just unwind by the sea, it’s all just a few steps away. The hotel’s pool was also a highlight — clean, spacious, and never too crowded, which made it ideal for relaxing swims throughout the day. I also really enjoyed the food during my stay. I tried both the à la carte menu and the buffet, and both offered a good variety of tasty dishes. Overall, it was a peaceful and enjoyable experience, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing beachside stay.

I stayed at Pandanus Beach Resort & Spa for one night with my family, and overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience. Room & Facilities: Most of their double and triple rooms are located on the ground floor with views of both the pool and the sea — a truly relaxing setting. The room we stayed in was in average condition, but it met our needs. A small yet thoughtful touch was the inclusion of a dental kit in the bathroom, which many hotels tend to overlook. As we were celebrating an anniversary, we had requested some simple decorations, and the hotel staff went the extra mile to accommodate this — kudos to them! However, one drawback was the absence of a mini fridge in the room, which could have added a bit more convenience. Dining Experience: We stayed over the weekend, and all three meals were served as international buffets at the Ocean restaurant. Each mealtime featured a live action cooking station, which added to the overall dining experience. A special highlight was finding lamb served for lunch — something that’s quite rare to see in local hotel buffets. Other Facilities: The gym facilities were offered free of charge, which was appreciated. However, the pool table use came at an extra cost of Rs. 1,500 per hour — something to note if you're planning on spending some time indoors. Final Thoughts: The overall experience was enjoyable, and I would recommend Pandanus Beach Resort & Spa to anyone looking to unwind by the sea in the southern part of Sri Lanka. With a few minor improvements, it has great potential for an even more satisfying stay.
