Pandanus On Litchfield

In 6 years of visiting countless locations over the country working in exploration - the Pandanus is probably a stand-out favourite. The hospitality provided by Janet and Jock is unmatched, coupled with an excellent location - peacefully set among the well established tropical flora. You could easily make a stay of purely relaxing on the grounds and by the pool. Great access to the Litchfield and lovely meals available in the cafe/restaurant. The cabins are newly furnished, and have an actual quality mattress, which can be a rarity. Don't read into the overall star rating influenced by the previous owners, I'm looking forward to another stay here in the future with a chance to see what more of the potential of the grounds Janet and Jock unlock. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ One of our favourite stops on our lap! We stayed at Pandanus on Litchfield the night before exploring the National Park and were absolutely blown away by how lovely it was. Jock and Janet, the new owners, have only had the park for around 3 months, but the transformation they’ve achieved in that short time is incredible. The park was previously rundown and dirty, but they’ve put in an enormous amount of work to turn it around. What they’ve created is a tropical oasis — clean, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. It’s the perfect base for exploring Litchfield. From the moment we arrived, Jock and Janet were so welcoming and kind. We spent the evening chatting with them, and it’s clear they’re truly passionate about what they’re building here. They even gifted us fresh limes and dragon fruit from the property, and there are plenty of mango trees (not quite in season during our visit, but they’ll be amazing when ripe!). The park has a great pool, a really relaxed and friendly vibe, and a range of accommodation options including en-suite sites, powered sites, and cabins. They’ve also just received their food and liquor licence, so there’s now a bar and kitchen on-site — and it sounds like some tasty dishes will be on the menu! They’re continuing to improve things, with a new washing machine on the way (and it’ll be free for guests — such a bonus!). Ignore the old reviews — this is a totally different park under new ownership, and it’s easily been one of the highlights of our trip so far. This is a must-visit if you’re travelling through the NT. Couldn’t recommend it more — thank you for the best stay!

Being travellers from Victoria we were so looking forward to seeing Litchfield National Park & whilst that was exceptional to see & experience, our stay at “Pandanus” more than enhanced the overall 3 days & nights in the Park. Jock & Janet (aka the “JayJays”) have owned “Pandanus” for 9 months after previous owners were there for many years and they’re supremely passionate, devoted, hard working and extremely friendly and engaging with all that stop over with them. I’ve included a photo of I with the “JayJays” & when next back in the N.T look forward to again stopping at “Pandanus” and enjoying a meal and some right quality time there.
