I stayed at this hotel some time ago, but I’ve only now had the chance to write about what happened. When I checked in, the room I was given was extremely dirty, the bedding was clearly used, and there were blood stains on the floor and even on the pillowcase (on the underside). There were suspicious people hanging around the property, possibly drug users and the overall environment felt very unsafe, especially for a solo female traveler. What made things worse was that the hotel staff confiscated my passport, saying I needed to go exchange money and pay before they’d return it. When I said I would not stay in such conditions, they still refused to return my passport unless I paid.A woman there, maybe the manager, I’m not sure, she insisted that if I didn’t like the room, she could take me to a “better hotel” around the corner. She was extremely pushy about it. I refused to go anywhere else with her.Luckily, I had a contact in Bahrain. I called him, and he immediately came over. He walked in and simply demanded my passport and they gave it to him without a word. One of the staff quietly told me as I was leaving “It’s good you’re leaving.”I genuinely feared for my safety. I’m grateful nothing worse happened, but this experience was disturbing and unacceptable. If you are a solo traveler, especially a woman,do not book this hotel.
I stayed here during the F1 weekend and chose it based on the high rating (Booking) and good location. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The hotel is right next to a loud nightclub, and the music could be heard clearly even inside the room until very late. Our room was dirty upon arrival, the floors were grimy, both bathrooms were unclean, and even after requesting cleaning, it barely improved. Breakfast was poorly managed with very little food available and no staff around. The location is good, but the hotel itself needs serious improvement in cleanliness and noise management.
Hotel was good, can be loud on weekends I asked the guest services to extend the stay, I showed them the days and cost on booking.com and asked them to extend the stay, they said they will match it, however 2 days into the three day extension, they said I have only paid for two instead of three, very poor when you consider I showed the guy at reception the price and now they locked the room and asked for an extra 25bd. Would not return and turned an otherwise ok service really bad
