Panoramahotel Talhof

I was there with my kids for a week to go skiing. The hotel is a 3 minutes drive away from the ski station and/or ski school, the ski station can also be reached by a 5-10 walk. Everything was very well organized, friendly and uncomplicated staff. Excellent value for money with very nice breakfast and dinner. It has everything you need for great week to go skiing. The only recommendation to the hotel would be to have more kids-friendly food, or alternative kids menu for the dinner. Thanks to the staff!

Nice hotelroom even though we got a room in the back with limited view. In the restaurant they gave us a table right by the buffet, far away from any window and a loudspeaker with German radio running right over our heads. We asked two times if we could get another table but it was not accepted even though there were lots of free tables for the whole evening. We were told that we would have the same table in the morning and had to go to the reception to finally get that changed. Really not a good experience- seems like it is the system and not the costumer in focus.

4 star hotel? It most certainly did not feel like. I was incredibly dissappointed and felt comepletly ripped off. 175€ for one night. As someone who has traveled to many countries and has stayed in many hotels/hostel, never have i felt so ripped off. I have stayed in 3 star hotels and hostels for way less than half the price of this hotel and have had a better experience. To start things off, never have I waited so long to check in. There was not even a line, just two families checking in at the reception, we waited almost a half hour before reception finished checking them in and it only took them a few minutes to check us in, why so quickly for us to check in but for the other family so long? On top of that, the receptionists kept walking off and doing something else. What really got me was that safe in the room wasnt free, it costs 1€ a day to use it, thats ridiculous, never have I stayed in a hotel where I had to pay to use the safe in the room, also that small bottle of water in the room was 2€.. again i have never had to pay for bottled water that came with the hotel, at this point i was surprised that the WiFi and TV was free. The room came with absolutely nothing. Im scratching my head at this, i cant believe 3 star hotels gave me a better experience than this hotel did, and i didnt even pay close to the price of this hotel. I had only booked the hotel because it looked so cool in the advertisement. 2 stars only because the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The owner is cheap, if you ask me. 4 star hotel with a 1 star experience.
