FLAVORED HOT TUBS. We are American and maybe this is a Korean thing but it was really cool. The hotel is beautiful. The hot tub area was just great. watermelon, plum blueberry and mango hot tubs. Super strong jets in the jet pools and all the people were having a great time. Their outdoor area was just beautiful with all the trees by the beach. their bar served really good drinks. we enjoyed our time here.
This is a beautiful hotel, it may not look great from the outside but inside it is quite beautiful. The amenities including the outdoor hot spring pools, the swimming pool, and more are beautiful. The problem is the amenities are way too small for the overall capacity of the hotel so they are super crowded all the time. The hotel has addressed this problem by creating entry time slots for these amenities and limiting entry to once per day per person. Unfortunately, it is still extremely overcrowded. This hotel is also very popular with families with young children so it is sometimes difficult to relax in the spa pools if kids a screaming, splashing and playing a few feet away. The hotel has great food options, everything we tried was excellent including the special tea done in the lobby restaurant. This is a Korean hotel that caters to primarily Korean families with children. I did see a lot of cool amenities and activities catered towards children. I would recommend it for families but not so much for couples looking for a relaxing getaway.
Overall a great hotel in a very good beachfront location. Very easy to walk to many of the attractions and calling an uber to venture out further is also very simple. However, the hotel rules are a bit over the top and they are militantly enforced by the staff. Some examples; telling children not to run or make noise in the children’s play area, telling children not to jump or splash in the swimming pool. The lifeguards even seemed to take great pleasure in telling people off for various menial things (tying of hair, no floatation devices etc). Also the pool was closed several times during the day for 20 minutes each time for a deep cleaning, which seemed a bit too much as everyone has to completely clear out of the pool area (I.e 2:40pm - 3:00pm the pool was closed). You couldn’t even remain in the pool bar. So it was a bit annoying having to clear all your stuff and wait somewhere for 20 minutes. My perspective is that this hotel was originally designed as a luxurious resort for couples and older families but in fact its very popular with young families, hence the strict enforcement to ensure people without children will not be disturbed. The hotel need to consider separate pool areas for adults and families. That way everyone can enjoy it and they don’t need such silly rule enforcements on children. I would honestly not recommend this hotel for couples travelling without kids. It will not be very relaxing for you. Then, for families travelling with young kids, the rules will probably annoy you and your children.
