So sad! Have not been here for 7 years and have come back to it closing. It was such an amazing place to come and see golfers playing their game and lunch was delicious, grabbing a drinks to sit by the fountain was a fab relaxing experience. Could hear the Kids laughing while playing in the pool and playing put put. No atmosphere it has died! Such a great place still! Just needs love
The playground and pool were fantastic and staff were great. The area is FANTASTIC for small-teenage kids. We stayed on for dinner, which h is where the problems started. The wait staff were seriously overwhelmed. Only two staff tending to the bar *and* the restaurant, we waited 10 minutes to be seated and then had to all to move tables, when ours hadn't been cleared properly from lunch. We moved to a nearby, cleaner (but still not dinner-ready) table. After asking the waitress to clean it (actually, I saw how slammed she was and asked for a broom and a cloth, but she came to do it), we went to order and waited about 20 minutes for service. At this point, I was pretty upset by the whole fiasco. However, we took advantage of an incredible deal, and paid $60 for 3 adults and 2 kids, including our first round of drinks. The food itself came fast and was excellent quality. I wasn't thrilled with the start of the dining experience, but it's absolutely worthwhile, at the price we paid. I think there was a staffing snafu, which led to a poor service experience, but overall I still recommend it as a great place to take families. We'll certainly go back.
Children's meals are overpriced and vary in quality and amounts and alcoholic drinks are exorbitant... So don't expect a quality family affair for what you pay... Pub quality at Ritz prices. Good service and great staff. Great location and plenty stuff for kids to do. If the outdoor eating areas were expanded, entertainment bought on board once or twice weekly and prices reduced (or the quality of food improved DRAMATICALLY) then this place has great potential. Presently I can see little reason to recommend this place to too many people
