Paradiso Resort Kingscliff

Stayed here for 2 nights in one of the rooftop apartments. The apartment was very nice, and very well cleaned. I didnt rate for service as there were no reception staff the whole time we were there, however i did leave some shoes behind and i was able to get in touch with the cleaner thanks to Kelly so that i could get my shoes returned.

After making the booking, we got an email to check-in online, where we had to attach a photo of a drivers licence and credit card. This was a bit unnerving, as it's a lot of personal info, and we'd never come across this before, but we then received an email with all of the instructions. On arrival, it was a frustrating check-in for us. Reception wasn't manned in the times stated (which we arrived in). When we finally found and got our digital fobs, we were given a different room than stated and wasn't notified beforehand. When we finally got a person who told us of the new room (a couple of phone numbers were displayed), she was lovely, helpful, and apologetic, though. Then the lift wasn't working, (we couldn't get it to work) and others said it wasn't working as well, and so we had to haul luggage up four flights of stairs, and we're in our 60's. The new room allocated to us was lovely, though, at first, had a musty smell. We would go back, though, now we know how things operate here. It is in a great location, and the unit is spacious, with clean, comfy beds, good showers, cooking and clothes washing facilities. After the initial hiccups, we settled into a lovely break.

The apartment was very tired, only 1 bedroom had A/C, another bedroom didn't even have a fan. The mattresses were absolutely shot and the pillows were flat. The washing machine would trip the safety switch. The lift and car park is like a sauna. Paid premium $$$ as it was Christmas, feel very ripped off.
