Typical new parador. I like to stay because everyone is unique. Nice and friendly stuff at the reception. Room was spectacular new and with a few of the landscape and bay. It’s said that the spa asks for extra charge to go in. The weather can be changing fast. We were able to use the out door pool. WiFi internet was stable and fast. The stuff at the breakfast and restaurant were somehow unorganized and most of them unable to speak English. In the restaurant someone else got served our food … service was not really able to speak English but also not clean Spanish so it was hard to communicate specially the where not patient so we could try to communicate in Spanish or Italien. But this kind of unorganized service is for us typical parador … They have a nice parking garage with direct access to the elevator.
Grate hotel the manger was very thoughtful The only thing that you have to order a place in the spa in advance
Incredible views of the sea and tasteful architecture/interior design. The elevators especially are really cool. It feels like staying in a modern art museum and nature preserve at the same time. Lovely, accommodating staff. Rooms are weird; the little shower stall is very small and awkward to get in and out of because of the lack of privacy. It would have been better to put folding room dividers like they had in the restaurant or some form of curtain instead of the green rods around the bathtub. There was also black mold in the corners of the shower. The sinks don’t drain very well so if you are brushing your teeth you need to wait before spitting after you gargle or it will threaten to overflow. The restaurant is ok but nothing spectacular. One of the items on the menu was unavailable so we were offered clams as an alternative/replacement but waitstaff neglected to inform us there would be a supplement of 10€. Very unfair pricing for what was essentially a handful of clams—it was not listed anywhere and we were never told until the bill arrived at the end of the meal. We visit several Paradores a year and special supplement prices are always listed somewhere in writing; not being upfront about pricing is dishonest and misleading. The views and atmosphere are great but overall it’s far from the best Parador in Spain.
