Parador de Carmona

Stunning views and a very calm and peaceful place to stay. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Not ideal for those who have difficulty walking or climbing stairs if you want to visit the pool. Perfect place to stay to avoid the hustle and bustle of Seville but still close to the city and very convenient for the airport. The village of Carmona is also beautiful with some excellent restaurants and interesting churches, convents etc.

If you like history and want a romantic place to stay, you cannot beat this in the area. Place isn't old but built as a 14th century fort. The town itself is amazing, one of the longest continuous habitated cities in Europe, around 5,000 years.

I was expecting more. The website was far better than the actual hotel and restaurant, we did not stay here. We stayed in Seville and took a day trip to Cordoba and stopped here for a 8PM dinner. The hotel is at the top of a small mountain and has great views. The lobby and rooms around the lobby are beautiful and luxurious feeling. The dinning room was sparsely decorated and felt more like a cafeteria than a dining room. It did not open until 8PM and had only a few servers. We ordered our food, they bring you a small bowl of soup and bread. We enjoyed the soup and ordered a chees board which was also enjoyable. The rest of the meal was not. The staff left all the dirty dishes on the table and we had to ask for them to be removed. We had to ask for silverware as well. Our main meals came and we sent them back after one bit. I had a Chicken Cannelloni and it tasted like cat food inside and did not look appealing. My partners succulent pork was dry as a bone. We asked for the check and the restaurant had the entrees on the bill still. We had to tell them to remove them as we did not eat them. I expected far more from a hotel restaurant than what I got.
