Parador de Chinchón

We had a lovely after meal coffee and sweets here ☕🙏 everything is on point and the servers are definitely attentive. Truly recommended for the views and sweets.

A good paradore, good meal and quiet. Lovely gardens and sitting out area and convenient for town centre.

The hotel is truly very authentic, with a wonderful atmosphere. The beds are extremely comfortable and we had a pleasant stay. The quality of the bed linens is excellent. What I don’t understand is why in Spain there are no proper duvet covers. They just place the duvet between two sheets, which keeps slipping out. Why not use a three-sided stitched cover instead? In the rooms, there are illuminated switches that cut off the electricity in the entire room when pressed—including the power outlets. This means devices can’t be charged, which is a poor design choice. In the bathroom, I wish they had installed a proper shower instead of a bathtub. The water pressure is low, and even though the hotel was not busy, the water temperature constantly fluctuated between cold and hot, making it hard to take a comfortable shower. Other than that, the staff was attentive and professional. Everything was spotlessly clean. We were satisfied overall. However, in the town of Chinchón, there’s barely a decent place to eat. Many places appear open but are actually closed. I also witnessed some rude behavior towards visitors, which was disappointing. I’m truly sorry to say this about the town.
