Parador De Cordoba

Aug 1st 2025 Treated like royalty from registering at reception onwards. As friends of paradores we were upgraded without asking to a junior suite with our own private balcony which had sofas, sun loungers and a breakfast table and chairs. Once again the food was amazing. The pool area was fantastic with plenty sun loungers, a bar and a beautiful setting. Free parking is a great bonus as well. April 2025 An amazing hotel where you are treated like royalty from the minute you arrive. The room we had was facing the town and had a balcony which had amazing views at night time. The staff were so friendly and professional. The grounds are beautiful and the hotel itself is beautiful inside. The food in the restaurant was very good and had a good range. The waitress service was very personal and they made you feel that you were important to them. An excellent hotel .

It was very difficult to write a review for this hotel as there are indifferent reviews from others and after staying there I can see why. We had a suite on the 4th floor with a wrap-around balcony and it is the best hotel room I have stayed in, in terms of comfort, privacy, cleanliness, tranquility and views. Had we had a standard room I would not have been happy as they are noisy, have very small balconies, and if you had the back of the hotel you would miss the views. The staff in the bar were very pleasant but at breakfast you weren't always approached to order coffee or hot items. The hot items were limited and the quality of the omelettes differed daily. On check out the reception staff didn't seem very engaged at all. This was a shame as it let's down what is and should be a great hotel.

The worst experiences I ever encountered during my extensive travel years. There are many short fall with 2 nights stay at the Parador de Cordoba. Room wasn’t ready at their check-in time of 3 pm. Also breakfast supposed to be included with first Amigo booking wasn’t honoured. Bar food was very average and overpriced. Location is far from all the tourist area. Not particularly great view like many other Paradors. Worst of all, I accidentally left my near new Apple AirPod Pro in the room so contacted the property same day. They found it which was a good news. We were heading Portugal that day so I requested to post it to one of the hotel in Barcelona which we will stay in 2 weeks time as COD (Cash on Delivery). My hotel in Barcelona accepted to receive the package on COD terms and keep safe until we arrive, however, The Parador de Cordoba refused to post it and they said it my responsibility to organise shipping myself. Apparently it’s their policy. Surely it shouldn’t be too much hassle for them to post within the country???? It was too difficult for me to organise courier in a foreign country. After a lot of frustrated email exchange, I told them to dispose it. With customer service like that I would not return any Paradors in the future.
