My boyfriend and I love coming here from Madrid for long weekends to decompress and re-energize. In Spain, it's often difficult to find nice hotels that permit dogs, so we appreciate the pet policy and the numerous outdoor spaces where she is welcome. The setting is truly special, in a nature reserve surrounded by greenery and beautiful ocean views, and the hotel provides enough amenities to spend the whole day on the premises (a gym, a pool, a spa, bike rentals, easy access to the beach, and a bar with outdoor terrace.) Rooms are comfortable and modern, with private balconies, complimentary bottled water and tea/coffee, good water pressure in the shower, and a screen-casting connection. Very good breakfast buffet, and I appreciate both the quality of the local products on offer and the fact that they provide ample options for vegans/those with dietary intolerances (even soy yogurt!) The staff is professional and friendly, and even when they appear to be understaffed, the servers do their best to handle the morning breakfast rush/evening bar crowd as efficiently as possible (special shout-out to superhero server Antonio, who often handles the workload of 3 people, but always with a smile on his face.) My only suggestion would be to expand the food menu a bit to provide a few more options for vegetarians (since over the course of 3 or 4 days, I end up eating the same 1-2 dishes over and over, and none of them have much protein). It might also be nice to provide something like a bowl of fruit or snack bars in the lobby, since there are no shops or vending machines nearby and the mini-bar only has 1 small jar of nuts.
I visited this place for a four day golfing holiday with friends. The location and golf course are great. The Hotel is getting old and needs an update. There were several power outages. The management is terrible. Staff is partially fully unorganised. Hardly anybody speaks English. The final bill was in Spanish and very confusing. For a non Spanish speaker this is very untrustworthy. Please wake up!
We had an amazing time playing golf and dining at the hotel. They have everything a golfer needs and wants - driving range, putting greens, chipping area next to pool, etc… The only issues were undercooked burgers, completely raw, at the quick restaurant. The most ridiculous thing of the stay was the cost of doing laundry. We washed 3 t-shirts, 6 collared shirts, 3 pants, 4 shorts, and underwear (we didn’t get anything ironed, just washed and dried) - the hotel charged us 178€! It was hilarious when I got the bill….
