Parador de Guadalupe

Just an amazing historic hotel in the middle of the historic area. Doesn't get better than this. Would definitely recommend and stay here again. Just an amazing facility.

We always have a good time when we stay at a Parador and this was no exception. However, a few negative aspects:- 1. Reception desk was overwhelmed/understaffed when we arrived around 1.15 pm. We had to wait 5 minutes before the parking lot barrier was raised. 2. Avoid room 4. 2 steep steps to bathroom, window overlooks street where Parador entrance is and consequently traffic noise can be annoying around 7 am. Ancient TV (14"?) and strange A/C device. Unable to make strongbox function using a credit card. The waiters/waitresses were very friendly and efficient esp José María Mateos who explained in great detail how REPAPALOS were made. The dining area in the patio de naranjos/limoneros is a perfect setting in the evening. PS Intriguing 6 point star ventilation holes in room. -

The parador is stunning, ideally located in the heart of the city, with charming and authentic facilities. The rooms are spacious, and the staff is friendly. The gardens are stunning and meticulously maintained. While we didn’t dine there, the menu appeared to be extensive and well-priced, offering a great alternative, especially compared to some of the nearby restaurants in the square, where the value for money is just average. While maintaining the hotel's signature style, the rooms could benefit from a bit of modernization. Additionally, the pool hours could be extended during the summer, as it currently closes while it’s still daylight and hot days.
