We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. We loved everything about the Padador. We were greeted by Jose Louis when we arrived. He always had a smile and gave us great tips to the city. The staff, housekeeping to dining room all were friendly and attentive. The room was so big, it had everything we needed. Lots of drawers and closet space, large bathroom and big balcony overlooking the grounds and ocean. The breakfast buffet the BEST. We're hoping to end our vacations every year at the Parador. Hope remodeling does not change the charm of this wonderful hotel.
A fantastic hotel. The location is amazing, with beautiful gardens to escape the heat, and gorgeous views of the beach and ocean. Staff was great, in particular Luz and Antonio from reception. Sure the rooms are a bit dated (soundproofing could be better), but the 60s aesthetic is kind of pleasant too. Thanks for everything!
We visited the Nerja Parador yesterday having previously emailed the hotel to enquire about eating there in our way from Malaga to Granada. Spain experienced a total power outage yesterday which impacted our plans, but we still wanted to visit the hotel as we have many happy memories of staying there. We arrived around 3.30 and enquired about lunch and if we could access internet to tell our family we were ok. An old man at the front desk treated us like dirt! It was actually unbelievable! We had already established they were serving food and that, at that time, they had internet access. We decided not to engage with this horrible person and went to an outside table and ordered lunch and drinks, again we were told we could not have the internet password! We were shocked at this lack of basic customer service. We finished our food (which was less than average) and left. We had to stay over as travel was very difficult and found a small hostal whose staff could not have been kinder and more understanding, going out of their way to help. We have been to many Paradores across Spain but will NEVER give them our custom again. As for the servant on the front desk - I genuinely hope he never needs help from anyone in a crisis. A monstrous employee who needs many lessons in how to treat people with respect. I have cancelled my Paradores Amigos (Friends!) membership this morning.
