Great place for visiting Toledo (by car)! Amazing view from the rooms, sitting on the balcony (need to book the according room with city view). It is not the newest facility but very clean and well maintened. Nice stuff. The spanisch breakfast was also very tasty and offered a wide variety. Only the restaurant (dinner) could not convince me. The food was okay but not as well seasoned, prepared and delivered as expected. For dinner I'd suggest looking at different options outside, e.g. smaller cities nearby.
We did visit the restaurant (not the hotel) and it was a wonderful experience. Paradores have improved their kitchen hugely in the last years. And Toledo is one of them. Excellent food and service. We'll repeat for sure. If around Toledo don't miss it. Also the views of the old town are fantastic.
Shambles of a hotel. Made a reservation. Received confirmation email and payment taken. We then amend date and receive confirmation email. Then upon calling one day before to confirm if they have a policy on deposits, we are told they have no record of our change despite us having the email confirmation. They say they can’t honour the email confirmation as they’re full. Five minutes after cancelling for a refund, they offer us a room that 5 minutes ago was apparently full for 50 euros more than the tariff we just paid. Like so much in Spain, horribly inefficient and unfriendly.
