We stayed here as part of our Perillo tour of Italy. We upgraded our room to be ocean front view. First, this has to be one of the most beautiful hotels we have ever stayed in. The views are spectacular with Mount Vesuvius in the background. The gardens are gorgeous. The restaurant was spectacular. We couldn’t understand how we were the only people for dinner.
Lovely hotel, it's a little bit away from the main town of Sorrento but this was a bonus for us as it was peaceful. The rooms are spacious with a balcony. There is a lovely terrace for drinks and we hung out for a day at the pool area which is fab. The private beach was closed when we stayed (mid April) but this was not a problem as you can walk to a public beach in about 10 minutes which is accessed by a tunnel near la Terrace restaurant. There is a shuttle bus into town which we used a few times but also it's easily walkable in 15-20 mins. We would recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area.
The room was beautiful! The staff was amazing (save for the shuttle driver who was brusque)! As you have probably read in some other reviews, the hotel IS dated, but that’s part of the charm and the design. The surrounding grounds are amazing and waking up to the view of the bay of Naples is worth it every time. We found the walk to town not that bad—super easy to do if you are able bodied. Breakfast was nice. Room service doesn’t seem like a very common occurrence, but once they finally showed up it was nice. Overall I DO recommend.
