I have to add to the five star reviews of this place, as it really is so special! Everything was just fantastic, but the highlight really is the wonderful staff, every staff member was so friendly and helpful. In particular they love all the little children and greeted them so warmly every morning at breakfast. The location is fabulous, the views across the lake are stunning and the private beach area with the blow up slide down by the lake is the best area of the hotel in my opinion. There are beautifully manicured grounds and if you wander up high there are peaceful places to sit and unobstructed views across the lake. Breakfast was fantastic with a great selection, however - dinner in the main restaurant we found not so good, with slow service, the menu was not really explained, and the food very disappointing. My husband was served BBQ sauce with a filet steak! The other restaurants on the property we can't speak to as many of them only allowed children above the age of 16. Lastly the room, we had a prime view and it was very peaceful at night, the entertainment at the bar below was very considerate as it finished at 10 the latest. The room could do with a bit of an upgrade in terms of decor, but it was extremely clean and the beds were very comfy. I would say that if you are paying for a family suite that has a kitchenette, it's a bit stingy to not let the guests use the kitchen utensils without being charged extra (90 euros for the stay), as you are already paying a premium so we thought that should have been included. Overall though, I highly recommend this wonderful hotel for a trip to the Italian lakes, and particularly if you have children (all ages) as there is so much for them to do!
Overall we had a lovely stay. The location and resort itself are amazing, the views and lake are out of this world. The staff were brilliant and so friendly. The kids pool and family spa were fantastic. The only downside for us were the added costs we hadn't fully expected (missed details when booking), €10/day for parking (with a 50% discount for booking direct) and €17 per NIGHT (!) for a baby cot. When the overall stay is pretty expensive these added extras seemed a bit ridiculous. If going, recommend staying B&B and exploring Perlazzo for evening meals or see Claudio at the pool for delicious pizzas ⭐
Unfortunately, we were never able to experience this hotel due to a last-minute health issue that prevented us from traveling to Italy at all. We had been genuinely looking forward to our stay and notified the hotel more than a week in advance - well outside what would typically be considered a last-minute cancellation. Despite this, the hotel declined to offer a refund or even a partial credit. We made every effort to transfer the reservation to someone else, but were unsuccessful. Throughout this process, we found the hotel's customer service to be rigid and lacking empathy, as though unexpected emergencies are not part of life. Given the circumstances, both personal and global, we had hoped for a more understanding and humane response. In the future, in this world where uncertainty is a constant, we will make sure to choose a hotel that treats us as people and not a mere wallet. Edit: I now see a response from the hotel. While my Gmail account does not reflect my name I am in no way anonymous. The last name is Ariav and we have made many direct and open attempts and communications with customer service only to receive a shrugging "empathetic" response, sending us to seek help elsewhere, which I recognize in this response as well. It is a far cry from trying to truly solve an unfortunate situation - and possibly retaining a paying customer in the future. You are more than welcome to reach out to me through my email if you find a real compromise, not just lip service. Best. Final edit: Parco San Marco reached out to us and, as a special exception to their policy, agreed to provide a voucher for use at their resort. We are grateful for their consideration and hope to be able to make use of it.
