Great hotel, perfect for family holidays. The close proximity to the beach and several pools keeps kids entertained. We stayed in a room with a private garden. The resort is surrounded by lush greenery, which helps keep the rooms cooler. The breakfast and dinner area can get busy, but the food is good. However, we noticed two areas for improvement: More amenities for kids, especially around the pools. Restaurant staff during breakfast were reallocating already seated guests. Sorry, but it’s not my job to free up space — this should be taken care of preemptively by the staff at the entrance.
Giving it 4 stars as that's what it should be. Amazing place with good service. Here are the watch outs.... 1 portions can differ making the beach feel like a rip off 2 happy hour cocktails are terrible compared to full price. If they're looking to hook you in they FAIL MASSIVELY. A missed opportunity. 3 a number of people were told they have a restaurant booking but staff forgot to book. This happened to a number of people we spoke to. All things they can do something about and would qualify the hotel as 5 star. As it is.... I think they gave themselves 5 stars.
The main reason for 3 stars is to represent the actual star rating this hotel should get. Really disappointed with level of service for 5 stars, if you have stayed in 5 star then you know the difference The hotel sells a unique style boutique 5 star resort. However it is not. The breakfast experience is stressful and quality is poor. Small kids running around everywhere. Yes there are some great staff at the front desk, concierge and cleaners all doing great job. The layout and style is really stunning, the garden is gorgeous. Gym is a little out of date and the business area and play area is very poor. Very little/ no areas to chill out or do any remote working unless you want to sit in the restaurant. It’s a good walk to town up a steep hill and a lot of steps downhill, so a taxi was needed. Just overall disappointed and underwhelmed. Would hate to pay full prices in the summer
