Park Avenue Rochester

Previously we have left a 2 star with bad feedback. We decided to return to Park Avenue Rochester and give them another chance again. We booked a 2 bedder Suite. Although the room still feels sterile just like our first experience but the amenities remain as great and the cleanliness was better than our first stay. The gentlemen who checked us in (using beige blazer) on our check in date (10th Apr 2025) was pleasant to speak to. He was thorough in answering any questions we had. We were also allocated a room on a high floor (#1912) which were one of our request. The room attendant who was taking care of our floor was also very pleasant. The only down side we had were, the entrance door doesn't close properly, it would need to be pushed or pulled hard which causes loud bangs. The toilet door as well as bedroom door was also very tight. Other than that, we would definitely recommend to our family and friends to come for a stay with you guys. We will definitely come back and stay soon!

Hotel itself in a nice business area , cleaning is great , room and bed is comfy ( don’t book superior room, it’s small and facing loud construction) , I payed extra for deluxe and it was very good. I give only 3 stars as breakfasts and service in the restaurants are bed . From the moment of greeting in a very transactional Chinese way, to the quality and variety of food itself . I stayed 6 nights … after a few days iy was unbearable , I started to bring my own food and just had a coffee … Another moment is AC strong flow . It’s always cold even if you set up on 25C , but I asked for second blanket , so it was better.

One could say you get what you pay for and Singapore hotels are pricey...but Rochester Hotel is not on the low cost side relatively speaking. Rooms need a face lift for sure, loud. AC, noisy bathroom drain, step into a bath for a shower..and no anti slip mat or surface, shower has a fixed height shower head (I'm not short), and worst for me is that damp smell in the room that AC sometimes produces. Only a short trip this time..2 nights, but won't be my choice in the future. Staff are helpful, so the rooms need some upgrade to align with their good attitude.
